We are proud to be one of the few remaining cinemas capable of screening from film. Not just 35mm film, which was the industry standard until 2011, but also high definition 70mm film. 70mm was historically screened only in the large cities. There were never any 70mm shows in Barnsley until we screened The Hateful Eight 70mm Roadshow in 2015.
We were the only cinema in England, outside the West End, to screen Oppenheimer from a 70mm print from the release date, which is something that we are immensely proud of.
